Infographics
A survey can generate complex information and individual perceptions that can sometimes be difficult to present to an audience. Charts and graphs are great visuals but can be too often relied upon in presentation slides that can go on and on. Infographics also utilize charts and graphs but with minimal text, summarizing the main idea of the survey and utilizing that main idea to get a point across.
Below is an infographic based on two surveys that were conducted at the University of Guam RFK Library during the fall semester of 2018. The survey sought input from the patrons about their use and perceptions of library resources. These surveys were a first step in making decisions regarding the improvement of collections by creating a weeding and acquisitions plan.

The tool that was used to create the infographic was Canva a site that can help you create flyers, logos, presentations, invitations and more. What I like about Canva is that you can design your infographic from scratch, or you can use one of their many templates. It is also a site that allows you to download a copy of your work as an image. Not all infographic makers are equal and there are some sites that will not allow you to download your work unless you pay for the privilege.
